2. Information you provide
When you open an account we collect your name, email address, and the details you add to your profile, such as a phone number, location, or the roles you use (buyer, vendor, or driver). If you complete identity verification, we collect the information required to confirm who you are.
3. Transaction and wallet information
We record the deposits, transfers, payments, pot allocations, and other activity in your wallet so we can show your balance and history, calculate fees, and detect fraud. This includes the amount, time, counterparties, and any note you attach to a transaction.
4. Payment card data and fraud protection
Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. When you add a card, the card number is sent directly to Stripe and tokenized — ChowBanQ stores only a reusable token plus the card brand and last four digits. We never store your full card number, expiration, or security code on our own systems. Tokenization is a core fraud-protection measure: because your real card details never touch our servers, there is no card number for an attacker to steal from us, and the token we hold is useless outside ChowBanQ's secured payment flow. This dramatically reduces the risk that a data breach could expose your card or be used to make fraudulent charges.
5. Text messages and consent
We only send promotional or outreach text messages to users who have opted in, either by telling our team directly or by replying START. Every message includes opt-out instructions, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP. We keep a record of your consent status and the messages we send so we can honor your choices.
6. How we use your information
We use your information to operate your account, process transactions, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
7. When we share information
We share information with service providers who help us run ChowBanQ — such as our payment processor, hosting, and communications providers — only as needed to deliver the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We keep your information for as long as your account is open and for any additional period required to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Financial records are typically retained for several years after an account closes, as required by law.

You can review and update much of your information from your Profile, and you can request a copy of your data or ask us to correct or delete it, subject to legal limits. ChowBanQ is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
